BACKING TRACK AVAILABLE HERE: http://guitarslingeracademy.com/minor... FREE Basic Music Theory For Guitar Players Training Series: SUBSCRIBE: http://bit.ly/davedevlinmusic Hey! How’s it going fellow Guitar Slingers?! Dave here, and welcome to Guitar Slinger Academy, where it’s all about helping you, the best I possibly can, to take your guitar playing to the next level. In this lesson I’m gonna be showing you some AWESOME Minor blues style licks that I like to use In my playing, that you can take, modify, add to your own bag tricks, however you want to use them. So let’s do it. All of these licks are played over a minor blues style progression in the key of C minor and use a mixture of the minor pentatonic and the Natural minor scale. If you’re not familiar with these scales and how to play them all over the neck, don’t worry I have a free video training series that covers both these scales as well as the basic fundamentals of music theory for guitar players, so if you’d like to get access to that check the link below! So, being that we’re playing over a minor blues style progression, all of the licks are geared towards that minor tonality. So think, Thrill Is Gone - BB King, Gary Moore’s Midnight Blues, that kind of vibe. I’ve laid all the licks out in a way that works within the context of a solo, so by learning all the licks you’re not only going to hopefully get some new ideas and some fresh Inspiration, you’ll also have an entire solo that you can play and modify however you want. Like I always say In these videos, learn all the licks and use them as they are by all means, but I encourage you to think of them more as examples and templates from which you can create your own licks. I believe that finding your own unique voice as a guitar player is the key to becoming great, so keep that In mind when you’re practicing this stuff. Okay so let’s jump into it. The Tabs will be displayed below for each lick. If you would like to download the backing track for this lesson then you can do so through the download link above. That way you can practice these licks In a musical context. Thanks for watching! Take care!
