There is a stunning valley you might recognize from driving from Switzerland to Italy through the Grand San Bernardo tunnel. Just when you exit the tunnel there is a big turn and on the right side, you see a valley with lots of options for ski-touring. Our eyes fell on the Couloir in the middle of the Costone de Mezzodi. If we are not mistaken, the couloir we ski is named the "Hiss of the Cobra Couloir". We parked our car on the parking from the ski resort Crevacol, started early from the valley bottom and made our way up towards our objective.
