Georgia 14th race heads to runoff as Trump-backed Fuller, Democrat Harris advance

Voters in northwest Georgia will head back to the polls. Republican Clay Fuller and Democrat Shawn Harris advanced to an April 7 runoff Tuesday night after neither candidate secured a majority in the special election to replace former U.S. Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene. We heard from both candidates following the results. Clay Fuller says... "I think the Republican party's gonna unite around us because they know that the Democrat is too dangerous. We can't have a Democrat representing Georgia 14. It'd be a tragedy for our community, it'd be a tragedy for Georgia 14, and it'd be a tragedy for the MAGA movement. So we're gonna unite, I fully expect our party to come together, and go and win this thing on April 7th." Meanwhile Shawn Harris told us... "The reality of it is, we knew that with this many people in the race, it was gonna be very hard for any of us to get to 50 plus one. But we had a goal... if we can't get to 50 plus one, we wanna make sure that we get the most votes. Because we want to show that we got a momentum, we want to show that we actually got things moving in the right direction, and from that, we're gonna build on this thing. We can break though as a coalition of Democrats. And come April 7th, I'm looking forward to going against Fuller." The 14th Congressional District stretches from suburban Atlanta to the Tennessee state line. All of our Georgia viewers live in this district.
