This one runs along the route described on page 13 of Susanna Ryan's Seattle Walk Report, An Illustrated Walking Tour through 23 Seattle Neighborhoods. It is a longer walk but that was part of what made it interesting as it ranges through all the zones of what makes Capitol HIll great to see; commercial, residential, parks, and local strips all in one area. The adventure part came from that there is a so-called trail that leads up from Lakeview Ave E to 10th Ave E along what would be E Blaine St that is really just a muddy and unmaintained track. I slipped and fell and landed hard on some fallen logs during that bit and this was the first time that I thought I might have been in trouble, far enough from help to matter. Luckily I wasn't injured, and was able to continue right away. Still, sticking to the streets and sidewalks is a good idea. Enjoy!
