Welcome back to “Discover Hong Kong Hidden Gems” series as we extend our world schooling with Karson to exploring fascinating places within our home, Hong Kong. When it comes to hidden treasures, Hong Kong has an abundance of them. The wetland park is the most exotic of them all. The Wetland Park is an ecotourism park located in the northern part of Tin Shui Wai, New Territories. It is a popular place to explore Hong Kong’s broad species of wetland wildlife, from flocks of birds, insects, reptiles, amphibians, crabs to fishes. In the winter months, the Wetland Park is a popular pitstop for flocks of migratory birds. It also houses an impressive collection of flora and fauna. The Wetland Park comprises of wetland habitats. Visitors have access to the streak walk, mangrove boardwalk, butterfly garden and three bird hides that are specifically designed to get you closer to wildlife. Karson’s favourites were the celebrity crocodile Pui Pui, and the mudskippers. We celebrated our 11th Dating Anniversary together with Karson at the Wetland Park this year and we could not have found a better backdrop for our celebration. The place definitely is an excellent recommendation for anyone looking for a casual stroll along its boardwalks or the passionate wildlife photographer.
