About 5,000 people attended the annual National Cannabis Festival (NCF) on Washington D.C.'s RFK Stadium fairgrounds on Saturday. The goal: to bring together D.C.'s nascent pot industry and advocate for broad legalization. "We're going to keep pushing until we get the laws that we want," said Carolina Phillips, an NCF organizer. Attendees purchased pipes and bongs, learned best practices for indoor marijuana growing, and picnicked at the festival's open-air concert. Although NCF banned marijuana use at the event and public consumption of weed is illegal on federal land, some attendees smoked up anyway. Park security looked the other way. Produced by Joshua Swain. Music by Podington Bear. About 1 minute long.
