1080p HD: NHRA Mello Yello Southern Nationals at Atlanta Dragway 5/6/17

I step all my usual viewers away from the iron horses of the steel rails and take you to a whole another realm of iron horses on asphalt. My whole life (of almost 25 years) I've been a big fan of drag racing, always watched it on tv, from a kid until now, and had never been to a drag racing event. All of that changed when I got the opportunity to finally attend on Saturday, May 6th, 2017, at NHRA's Summit Racing Southern Nationals event in Commerce, GA (just over a 1 hour drive northeast of downtown Atlanta). Everything from dragsters to Nitro was seen and majority was captured from all the heart pounding, earth vibrating action the NHRA had to offer. Since Friday was rained out, all the qualifying (narrowed to just two qualifying runs) was scheduled for Saturday. Everyone attended the event in the Nitro ranks including "The Sarge" Tony Schumacher, "Fast" Jack Beckman, Robert Hight, 2016 Funny Car Champion Ron Capps, Antron Brown, the 16 time champion John Force, Matt Hagan and much much more. So sit back, relax, and enjoy almost 1 hour of the fast paced, up to 325mph, races that people worldwide travel to see.
