Met. 1 Celebrates 150 years of LT at Quainton Road

150 years of the Metropolitan celebrations include London Transport Loco Met. No 1 & Sentinel in action at the Buckinghamshire Railway Centre, Quainton Road station on 24.02.13. and shows the Sentinel 0-4-0 loco run-past of Met 1 in opposing direction. Met. No 1 was built in 1898 and is the only survivor of a class of seven engines designed by the Chief Mechanical Engineer of the Met, Mr T. F. Clark, for use on the Baker Street to Verney Junction service. It was the last locomotive constructed at the Met's Neasden Works. Met No. 1 pulls the Metropolitan Railway 'Jubilee' carriage No. 353, which was built in 1892.
