No Copyright infringement from Atari Intended. All details explained in this video are just my opinion, not an official review. Spoiler Alert: In the video I meant “Virtua Fighter” not “Racing”. That was purely by accident. Sorry if I messed up in this video, as you may have noticed, I said the wrong game title. Also keep in mind that this was featured on the Atari 50 compilation, for the sake of history. Fight for life is one of the worst fighting games ever made. This is where the Jaguar tries to prove that’s at least as powerful as the 32X. The 3d graphics on their look hideous (because this scheme looks like an unfinished prototype), not to mention worse than Virtua Fighter on the 32X. Controls (even though it kind of stinks), music, and voice clips are nice. I probably like this game better if they use stuck with two-dimensional animation. The group of fighters for this game aren’t really memorable. As you may remember from other good fighting games such as Street Fighter II and Mortal Kombat: games like those has very memorable, iconic characters including Ryu, Ken, E. Honda, Zangief, Liu Kang, Raiden, Johnny Cage, Sonya, Scorpion, Sub-Zero, Reptile and others. But fight for life has something the other fighting games are missing: edges of the platform that can zap you and your opponent. Fight For Life in my opinion, is one of my least favorite games on the Atari Jaguar. That’s why I enjoyed playing Virtua Fighter (32x and Saturn Versions) much better this. During this time, we already got the Jag port of NBA Jam: T.E. Which is a better basketball game than the one loosely based on the awesome movie “White Men Can’t Jump”. There are some good games for the 32x too, like for example: Mortal Kombat 2 (32X Edition) and Virtua Racing Deluxe. The Tekken trilogy, Street Fighter EX Plus Alpha, and Mortal Kombat Trilogy (Also available on Sega Saturn and N64) on the PS1 are better Fighting games than Fight for Life. Mortal Kombat 4 on Nintendo 64, and all versions of The King of Fighters are better than Fight for Life.
