Wet Woodland Wild Camp | Hammocking, Zebra Can Roast Chicken, Steak & Bannock Bread !

A long overdue wild camp with son Jonathan. Hiked up to Hope Woodlands for an over-nighter and practice with a DD tarps and hammocks. Also practised at some small fire building/lighting etc as well as using my new BushBox XL which was well impressive! Culinary delights were a roasted chicken using the alcohol stove, Flame Grilled Steaks with Stir Fry Veg and Black Bean Sauce and breakfast was Bannock Bread, Bacon & Eggs! Now I will need to get back on the juice however! Rain, Rain & more rain was the theme together with some heavy wind during the night. Not much filming and photos. Was hoping to try out more time lapsing on the Sony Alpha. Need to start looking at lightweight kit - supposed to be getting the weight down not up! this pack was 40Lbs! I didn't have my usual mic with me so had to make do with the GoPro 5 which developed a sound fault following a firmware update - fortunately only noticeable for a minute or so but GoPro need to improve the sound by adding a blue tooth audio channel to allow for an external wireless mic. Need a lot more practice with fires and still have not found much fat wood at all. Don't want to resort to Amazon!. I find these guys great inspiration for hammock and woodland camps generally.
