Style: Drama / Experimental Film Duration: 10:14 Director: Leni Smoragdova Cast: Leni Smoragdova, Max Vorobiev, Mikhail Zaitsev, Tania This short film explores the metaphysical journey of souls after death. The story unfolds in the Valley of Hinnom (Gei Hinnom) — an ancient place associated with ritual sacrifice to the Canaanite idol Molech. In later traditions, this valley became a symbol of spiritual judgment and purification. In this filmic interpretation, the valley becomes a symbolic landscape where lost souls arrive after death. Here begins the process of purification in Geinom, a realm where the soul must confront the truth of its earthly existence. Within this space of reckoning, every action from a person’s life is revealed. The soul is forced to encounter the consequences of what it once refused to see, acknowledge, or understand. It must face the pain and suffering it caused others, experiencing the full weight of its actions. Through this confrontation, the soul enters a difficult path of reflection, purification, and transformation. The film combines elements of dramatic narrative, symbolic performance, and experimental cinema, creating a metaphysical meditation on guilt, responsibility, and redemption.
