World 7 is the final World of this game, it also has only two levels to go through instead of 3, though its 2nd level's length and importance make up for that. 7-1 is a Sky level, where you'll be running and jumping across clouds to progress. At one point, you'll even need to ride on an Albatross again in order to get further. The mid-boss for this stage is yet another Green Birdo. 7-2 is the main course of this World. The final level. Its fortress is the larger one in the entire game, so it will take some time to get through it all. There are multiple paths to take, here, but follow the one that I use. You will even encounter more Birdos along the way. The Red Birdo I fight has a key that I need to get into the boss room, but when you get there... there is no boss, and the pearl's already there for you to nab, but when you do get it for the Bird Gate... UGH! The gate, itself, is the boss, chasing after you like one of those darn Phantos!! Just hit it with Mushroom Blocks, and it will soon give up and let you in its mouth no matter where you have it stop in the air. -------------- This leads into the final boss, where you must face against the evil ruler of Subcon, itself: The ugly Wart! Remember, Wart hates vegetables, so you must force-feed him the vegetables that shoot out of the machine that stands before him. Why the hell does he even have that thing in his room knowing that it can be used against him?! Wart's only attack is to shoot painful bubbles from his mouth. These bubbles destroy any vegetables you throw at him, too. The key to beating Wart is to throw the vegetables at him right as his mouth opens to shoot the bubbles. You have to do this 6 times until Wart's mouth and stomach can't take the food anymore. He'll then be paralyzed from it all and then you can go into his secret room. -------------- Mario finds a corked jar and opens it, releasing a bunch of fairies called Subcons. They are the true, good rulers of Subcon, and they are thankful for Mario and his friends for saving his world. At the end, there's a score the ranks each of the 4 playable character based on how many levels were completed with that character. Whoever scored the most victories is labeled "Contributor". Regardless of this, Mario, Luigi, Toad and Peach are all labeled heroes of Subcon, and are rewarded with grand praise and cheer from everyone throughout the world of Subcon. ...and then we found out the biggest truth of it all. It was all a dream, Mario's dream specifically. That whole adventure of Subcon was just a dream, just as Mario's first peak into it at the very beginning was. Subcon does exist, but only within the dreams of the inhabitants of the Mushroom Kingdom. There's no doubt that Luigi, Toad, and Peach all had this exact same adventure of a dream, too. So while Mario gone back to snoozing after briefly waking up, the shows off all of the characters in the game in white, outlined NES sprites, from the heroes, to the enemies, to all of the bosses, including Wart at the very end. -------------- That ends my Mario run of this game. I want to make playthroughs of Luigi, Toad, and Peach, too, as they have much different stats compared to Mario and can make a difference in how I get through the game. When will I do that, though?
