Learn to Ride a Bike as an Adult | Cycling for Beginners

➡️ABOUT THIS VIDEO: How to ride a bike lesson. A cycling instructor gives you step by step way to ride a bike in 5 minutes. Learning how to ride a bicycle is not difficult or painful. In a few minutes of guidance and practice, just about anyone can ride a bike. Kelley Westenhoff, a certified cycling instructor, will teach us. To begin, sit on the bike with both feet reaching the ground for stability. Then, kick along with both of your feet and get used to balancing. Once you are comfortable coasting for short distances, put one foot on the pedal while kicking with the other. know where your brakes are located in case you need to stop. Finally, put both feet on the pedals. With this, you should be able to pedal the bike and stay balanced! Hope to see you bicycle riding. Lead instructor Kelley Westenhoff has been an LCI since 2014. Since then, she has taught group classes with the Washington Area Bicyclists Association as well as numerous individual students. The classes and lessons have included Learn to Ride for Adults or Youth, Confident City (or Suburban) Cycling, Return to Riding (after injury or illness), and Commuting. She has led rides for the 55+ group in her community as well as rides for individuals of all ages. In 2016, she rode her bike across the U.S. from Seattle to DC with a group dedicated to alleviating poverty housing. In 2017, she rode with this group again, down the Natchez Trace as well as from San Francisco to Santa Fe. In this, she has ridden her bike on almost any road surface imaginable and in every type of traffic.
