The movie took the No 1 spot, with an estimated $96 million, far below the projected $120 some outlets pegged for its opening. Wonder took the No 2 spot with an estimated $27 million, while Thor Ragnarok took the No 3 spot with an estimated $21.7 million, for a domestic total just shy of $250 million. Daddy's Home took the No 4 spot with an estimated $14.8 million and Murder on the Orient Express rounds out the top five with an estimated $13.8 million. Deadline reports that the bidding war for Quentin Tarantino’s next movie is officially over and Sony has landed the rights to distribute. Details about the deal, according to THR, point out that Tarantino demanded a budget of $93 million to get the 1960s-set project made, along with back end points and immense creative control as well as final cut. The film will be another Tarantino-esque view on history, specifically Los Angeles in the late 60s, with Tom Cruise, Brad Pitt, and Leonardo DiCaprio all being mentioned for the two lead male roles. BUY OR SELL Disney-Pixar has released the first teaser for Incredibles 2. The upcoming film will pick up after the events of the first movie, with the official synopsis revealing that the movie will focus more on Helen Parr/Elastigirl as Bob/Mr. Incredible stays home to raise Jack-Jack. The film also added, via the Tracking Board, the voices of Bob Odenkirk and Catherine Keener; who will join returning voices Craig T Nelson, Holly Hunter and Samuel L Jackson. The movie is set for release on June 15, 2018. THR reports that Constantin Films, the company behind the Resident Evil movie series, has picked up the film rights to Danger Girl, the hit 1990s comic book, and is developing the title with Jeremy Bolt's Bolt Pictures and Adrian Askarieh's Prime Universe Films to produce film and television shows. A new trailer and poster has been revealed for Disney and Ava DuVernay’s A Wrinkle in Time. The highly anticipated movie follows Meg Murry, her brilliant brother Charles Wallace, and their friend Calvin on an unexpected journey into alternate dimensions to bring home their father played by Chris Pine.
