In today’s Bible study, we wrap up the book of Genesis with one of the most beautiful and unexpected moments in Scripture. As Jacob (Israel) nears the end of his life, he has one last "trick" up his sleeve—but this time, it’s orchestrated by God. When Joseph brings his two sons, Ephraim and Manasseh, to be blessed, Jacob does something shocking: he crosses his arms. By placing his right hand on the younger son, he subverts human tradition and reveals a profound pattern of how God works. This final movement in Genesis reveals that God’s grace isn’t for the "obvious" choice or the most "deserving." From Abel to David, and ultimately to us, God consistently chooses the overlooked, the second-born, and the unlikely. The crossing of Jacob’s arms is a direct foreshadowing of the Cross of Christ. On the cross, a "divine exchange" took place: Jesus took the punishment we deserved, and we received the blessing He earned. In this video, we walk through Genesis chapters 47 through 50 to explore the death of Jacob, the faithfulness of Joseph, and why God’s "crossed-arm" blessing is the best news for your life today. If you’ve ever felt overlooked or unworthy, this story proves that God sees you, chooses you, and has a blessing specifically for you. 📖 Today’s Reading: Genesis 47:28–50 📌 Theme: The blessing of the younger son, the death of Jacob, and the Gospel in the Old Testament ▶️ Finishing the Book of Genesis: A Journey of Grace 👉 Subscribe and turn on notifications so you don’t miss the start of our next book! 👉 Comment “Genesis Done” if you’ve finished this journey with us. 👉 Share this video with someone who needs to know they aren't overlooked by God. 🔗 KEEP GROWING YOUR FAITH: Genesis: Finding Jesus in the Book of Beginnings: • Genesis: Finding Jesus in the Book of Begi...
