In a major development in the ongoing investigation into the mysterious death of Sushant Rajput's former manager, Disha Salian, the Mumbai Police has formed a Special Investigation Team (SIT) to probe the incident. The decision came after speculations surrounding Salian's death, which has intensified public demand for a thorough investigation. According to reports, the SIT would also investigate the alleged role of Shiv Sena (UBT) MLA Aaditya Thackeray in the case. Reacting to this, while Shiv Sena (UBT) MLA Sunil Prabhu said that the probe was driven by political vendetta, minister Shambhuraj Desai shared that the matter was serious and those guilty would be booked. Desai also added that the newly formed SIT will be led by a senior IPS officer. Notably, during the winter session of the legislature in Nagpur last year, the Maharashtra state government announced it would form an SIT to probe Salian's death. 28-year-old Disha Salian passed away on June 8, 2020, in what was initially recorded as an 'accidental death' after allegedly falling from the 14th floor of a building in Mumbai. However, her death has been shrouded in controversy, with several conspiracy theories circulating on social media platforms. This tragic and shocking incident happened just a week before Sushant Singh Rajput was found hanging from the ceiling fan of his residence.
