In my final episode of my Great Ocean Road series, I begin the day at Pebble Point Glamping in Princetown. I then went to Gibson Steps which was one of my favourite stops during the whole trip! A series of stairs take you down to the beach where you stand below towering cliff faces. It's an incredible experience and it makes you feel so small. You can also get up close to one of the Twelve Apostles which is amazing. Next up was the Twelve Apostles where there is a large visitor centre and plenty of parking. There's lots of great lookout points along the boardwalk and since I was there during winter, I pretty much had the whole place to myself. A short drive up the road was another large carpark with multiple attractions to see. I first saw The Razorback and the Island Archway and then continued on to the Shipwreck Walk. Then I walked down the stairs to Loch Ard Gorge where you can see the limestone up close as well as a large cave. The actual beach and view is incredible as well. Just across the other side of the carpark is Thunder Cave, where I ran into Kim who was chasing whales along the coast. I tagged along as I was super excited to see the whales too and we ended up all the way back at the Twelve Apostles Lookout where we ended up seeing them again. I then quickly stopped at Port Campbell, London Bridge and The Grotto in the last little bit of daylight before arriving at Warrnambool. The following morning began with a nice walk along the Warrnambool Pier and then along a boardwalk with a view of Middle Island where there is a little penguin colony. I then began my search for whales and headed to Logans Beach Whale Nursery. Whales migrate here from Antarctica every year to birth and raise their young in the warmer waters and people flock here in the winter to see the beautiful creatures. After waiting a while with no luck, I went to Granny's Grave (another whale watching beach in Warrnambool) where I was lucky enough to see a mum and bub hanging out in the shallow waters.
