https://www.facebook.com/pages/Keysto... This is a demo of three of the most popular short range or close quarter battle (cqb) optics on the market today. I highly recommend any of these if you are looking for something to fill that "tougher than nails" requirement. In order they are shown and demonstrated: Aimpoint Comp M3, Eotech XPS 2 and last a Trijicon Reflex. The Aimpoint sports a 4 minute of angle (moa) red dot and is about as simple as it can get. The Eotech has a 65 moa circle containing a 7 moa dot. This is handy for a multi role purpose: For range use the dot, for cqb just put the target in the big circle. The Reflex brings a 12.3 moa triangle to the table. The idea here is to zero the rifle to the pinnacle or just short of, and use this for range shots and cover the target for a quicker acquisition. The first two options are battery operated. As I explain this has its pros and cons of course. The Trijicon uses ambient light and tritium, the radioactive material in your night sights or watch, to power the sight in low light conditions. All three of these optics have seen service in all walks of law enforcement and military applications. Price range comes in between the $500 and $700 mark. They are not cheap but worth every penny in my experience.
