As many of you know, NVIDIA Geforce RTX 3080 and RTX 3090 got some really hot DDR6x VRAM, which can reach up to 110°C. After that point thermal throttling will affect your hashrate. So you wanna get them temps down, in my opionion not only for the hashrate, but also if you wanna mine longterm. My goals is to the VRAM temps atleast below 100°C but better below 90°C. I already reached with my RTX 3080 a significant drop from 110°C (with thermal throttling) to 82°C by changing the thermal pads of the VRAM, so I wanna try the same with one of my RTX 3090. I also noticed that, if you connect the VRAM properly to the heatsink, the core temps will go up a little bit (3 - 7°C).
