What materials do you need to dye yarn or fiber?

Dyeing your own yarn or fiber is a straightforward procedure. In this video I talk about what materials and equipment you'll need to dye with acid wool dyes. I use Sabraset or Lanaset acid wool dyes because these dyes are safe, lightfast, and colorfast. The procedure is simple and results are reliable. You'll want to take my online class, Dyeing with Acid Wool Dye to understand all the procedures. Before you know it, you'll be making any color you want for your own fiber creations. I dye yarn mostly for tapestry weaving, but as long as you're dyeing protein fibers (or silk), these dyes work well for any project.
