Experience through this video the ascent of the world’s first 9a, Action Directe, a historic route opened in 1991 by Wolfgang Güllich, a pioneer of climbing during that era. I decided to try this route following a pulley injury on my ring finger. I didn’t want to stop climbing, so I continued but only using two fingers on my right hand. That’s why I went to the Frankenjura to attempt this route. It only took me six go to conquer this small piece of climbing history.
