We’re doing something we’ve never done before… glamping in winter. And like most of our last‑minute decisions, this weekend didn’t exactly go to plan. Before the glamping adventure even began, we visited a pilgrim centre to learn the emotional story of a young girl who walked 26 miles after saving for six years. From there, we headed into the woods to hike through Torrent Falls, where the water was absolutely roaring. But the meal that followed? Let’s just say it wasn’t the cosy moment we were hoping for. Somewhere in the middle of all that, we found ourselves driving toward our very first winter glamping experience — wondering whether we were about to discover something magical… or something completely overrated. The next morning took us to Corris Visitor Centre, which we arrived at far too early, before travelling on to Llangollen in search of a lunch that might just save the trip.
