How to Draw Yourself as a Monster High Character | Sketch to Finished Art

In this video, I show how I draw myself as a Monster High character, taking you through my full process from sketch to finished artwork 🖤✨ This is a bonus episode in my Drawing Myself As… series, where I turn myself into different cartoon and art styles. Monster High has such a bold, recognisable look, with exaggerated proportions, dramatic fashion, and striking makeup, so it was a really fun style to explore. I start with a pencil sketch, then move on to inking using a Copic brush pen and Micron fineliners. For colouring, I use a mix of Arrtx portrait markers and Ohuhu markers, before adding finishing touches with Derwent paint liners, Prismacolor pencils, and a Gelly Roll Moonlight gel pen. Because this was an upper-body piece, I added a paintbrush earring and a paint palette earring instead of my usual paintbrush — which felt very Monster High while still keeping that artist detail in there.
