The train activity that I saw Lathrop/ Manteca was nothing like I’ve seen before in a short while. My mom and I had been looking for trains all morning but were not having any luck. So we decided to head to Lathrop/ Manteca and once we got there the train activity started happening. We decided to try two new crossings this time around, Austin Road (Video 1) and Spreckles/ Industrial Road (Video 2). After the train activity in downtown Manteca died down, we headed to the crossing on McKinley Ave which is next to the “Y” and there we saw a UP Switcher shunting and moving cars around there at the “Y”. Shortly after the UP Switcher left, a group of 4 Union Pacific engine units came through McKinley Ave and went down the other direction. After the activity at the “Y” died down, we then went to the crossing on Roth Road to wrap up the day and there we managed to capture the 4 UP Units that we saw earlier at McKinley and the first ACE Train. Trains in the video: Video 1: UP Switchers #1939, 643 and Cotton Belt #1068 Video 2: UP #7805, 7666, 8556, 8413, 5854, and 8552 Video 3-6: UP Switcher #1081 Video 7 and 8: UP #6176, 6469, 7441, and 8560 Video 9: ACE #3110 w/ CabCar #3307 Make sure to comment, like, and subscribe.
