Brighter Sound & Delia Derbyshire Day "Electric Storm" Both Sides Now residency Jan 2020

14 brilliant young North West England based artists came together to create a new audio/visual performance, their own electric storm. Over 5 days at Spirit Studios, Manchester, UK, in Jan 2020, they collaborated and worked with professional artists Caro C, Andrea Pazos and BISHI and supported by Brighter Sound. They were all hugely inspired by Delia Derbyshire and the "An Electric Storm" album she co-created in 1968-9. This project marks the 50th anniversary of an album called ‘An Electric Storm’ by White Noise (Delia Derbyshire, David Vorhaus, Brian Hodgson). The album has been cited as seminal and influential, one of the first electronic music albums in the UK (1969, Island Records). This was a partnership project between Brighter Sound and Delia Derbyshire Day, wonderfully supported by Spirit Studios and Korg UK.
