Here's The Worst Neighborhood In Wilmington, North Carolina

Parts of Wilmington are really beat up. For this video, I drove the worst part of Wilmington, North Carolina. This is an area that’s just just south and east from downtown Wilmington, or Wilmington’s historic district. This is an area with high crime and lots of poverty. The day was warm, but cloudy. It was Thursday, December 24, 2020 at about noon. I’m going to begin the video in a neighborhood that’s just adjacent to the bad part of town and then drive to the bad part of town to lend some perspective on just how quickly Wilmington goes from nice, historic homes which are well maintained and where crime is low, to the bad part of town with high levels of crime, drug sales and shootings. Put this: Wilmington is an old port city, located on the banks of the Cape Fear River.
