Application: The Rugged Ridge eclipse sunshade fits all 2007 – 2017 JK Wranglers. There are two version of the sunshade for either a two or four door Wrangler. The sunshade is designed to provide a layer of protection from the sun when the Jeep’s top is removed. The mesh fabric still allows air to enter the cabin and provide the great open-cabin feel while you’re on the road, but also blocks excessive sun exposure and harmful UV rays, during long trips. The sunshade can also be left installed under your soft or hard top, for an easy year-round solution. In addition, the sunshade doesn’t require a header bar, which is often a necessary option with other mesh tops, this in turns allows the sunshade to remain always installed, but also makes it easy to install/remove, while keeping the overall price low. Construction: The Rugged Ridge sunshade is made of a black durable mesh fabric material and is a self-contained unit, in which the straps and bungee cords are built right in, preventing the possibility of misplacing or losing an attachment strap. Included with the sunshade is a small mesh carrying case, which allows you to neatly fold and store the sunshade when it’s not in use. Installation: The installation of the sunshade is very easy and straightforward. It starts with the removal of the current top, either hard or soft tops. Once removed the sunshade is placed into position over the sports cage and strapped into position with the built in straps and bungee cords. The installation should take less than 30 minutes once the current factory top has been removed, without the need of any tools.
