When SpongeBob SquarePants leaves his house in the morning, he discovers that Plankton has taken over Bikini Bottom and has sucked all of the town's residents dry with several tank-like vacuums. He observes Goddard emerging from a portal and gets a communication from Jimmy Neutron. He joins Danny Phantom, Timmy Turner, and Jimmy Neutron at Jimmy's lab after following Goddard through the vortex. Jimmy introduces his new creation, the Universe Portal Machine, to his extraterrestrial visitors. It does, as he claims, enable extraterrestrial travel. However, Professor Calamitous has been snooping on him, stealing his concept, and building a portal machine of his own. Using it, he transported Denzel Crocker, Vlad Plasmius, and Plankton to his world.
