How to Calculate Wattage Requirements for Stego Enclosure Heaters | Galco

Calculating the wattage requirements for Stego enclosure heaters is possible by utilizing STEGO’s own heating calculation tool. This tool takes many different factors into consideration to provide the most accurate requirements. However, a provided wattage chart can be used as a supplement to the heating calculator to provide a quick reference guide on where to start. First, determine the surface area of the enclosure in square feet. This should correspond to a value on the x-axis. Next, you must determine the temperature rise from minimum expected ambient pressure to your desired enclosure temperature, measured in degrees Fahrenheit. These values are located on the y-axis. Once you know these two values, you will find that their meeting points come with two options – a black value box and a white value box. The black boxes correspond with use in an uninsulated cabinet and the white boxes correspond with an insulated cabinet.
