Everything’s finally running… for now! After days of troubleshooting and moving equipment, all the conveyors, pilers, and sorters are finally working, and we’re back piling potatoes into the cellar. But of course, nothing on the farm ever goes completely according to plan. In today’s video, we start the morning thinking we’re switching cellars — only to realize we can still fit a few more truckloads. With no pickers and barely any truck drivers, it’s all hands on deck unloading, picking rocks, and trying to keep things moving. Once the cellar’s full, it’s a mad dash to unhook, hitch, and move the entire setup to the next location — pilers, expandables, even the toilets (GAP certified, of course). Between stuck trucks, broken hubs, sketchy jacks, and Spudnik design complaints, it’s a full day of problem solving. We finally get everything running again — until a key breaks on the Even Flow, an electrician gets called, and we switch the whole system to manual just to keep harvesting. By the end of it, the conveyors are running, potatoes are piling, and we’re sitting on over 10 million pounds of spuds in the cellars — with a few more still to fill. It’s long days, late nights, and lots of problem-solving, but that’s just potato harvest life on the farm.
