Gainers Paradise S1 E31: Can you build big legs with light weight? Well, if it were up to Vince Gironda, that would absolutely be the case. 👇👇👇 ONLINE COACHING inquires contact me (Paul) here to get the info you need to get started: gainersparadise@gmail.com ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- I’ve heard it over and over again, “you can’t build big legs without big weight” and I used to believe that, but after taking this leg routine for a test drive my big weight belief system has been shaken to its core. This leg workout is one for the record books. It’s light weight but extremely intense. It’s relatively simple but highly effective. || The Workout || Vince Gironda Light Legendary Legs Workout Six Week Bulk Course MISSION: Turn these training wheels into monster truck wheels. Create well developed, fully formed quads and hams from top to bottom. TECHNIQUE: Set up all four exercises before you begin your work. Each exercise will be performed immediately one after the other with little to no rest. Each set is 12 reps. The only rest you’ll get is the rest moving between one exercise to the next. In between sets, rest 2 minutes. Here’s the full workout breakdown: Hack Squat FROG Squat style, 12 reps (This is performed with toe about 10-12 inches apart, heels elevated and touching through the whole movement. My apologies for the bad camera angle, however, I’ve included the Vince Gironda original print page showing the correct form in the video. Be sure to maintain full range of motion on every rep.) Hack Squats low close footing, 12 reps (This time feet are at the bottom of the platform with toes 10-12 inches apart and heels together flat on the platform. Lower all the way down to the bottom letting heels roll slightly up at the bottom of the motion while keeping them together. Press back up, first through the toes then rolling the heels back flat on the platform.) Lying Leg Curls 21’s, 21 reps (Similar to 21’s on the bicep curls, you’ll perform 7 reps from full extension to midpoint on the way up followed by 7 reps from midpoint to full contraction, followed by 7 full reps with full extension and contraction.) Lying Leg Curls with Dumbbell, 12 reps (Lie face down (prone) on a bench. Place a dumbbell between your feet. Squeeze feet and ankles together during movement and lower all the way while pointing toes as you descend to full extension. From there curl the weight back up and repeat.) INTENTION: Legs, one of the biggest muscle groups on the body, are highly responsive to time under tension, higher volume, and deep mind-muscle connection focus. Add intensity into these factors during your leg training and watch how they respond. Growing muscle takes time. Stay consistent in your effort. Set achievable but challenging goals, and work every day to move one step further toward conquering your hearts desire.
