6 Japanese Habits To Instantly Create A Calm, Peaceful Home — Inspired By The Monk Cleaning Method Ever wondered how small, intentional habits can completely change the way your home feels? In this video, I’m sharing 6 Japanese home habits that instantly make any space calmer, lighter, and more peaceful without redecorating or spending money. These tips are inspired by Japanese minimalism, wabi-sabi philosophy, and the Monk Cleaning Method, but they’re simple enough to start today. From starting with a quick tidy up, to creating soft, relaxing light, bringing nature in, and making small cozy corners, these are little changes that make a huge difference. They’re the same simple changes that have made my own home a place I love coming back to every day. Oh, and stick around for the end. I’m sharing my homemade pistachio tiramisu recipe, because a peaceful home should taste just as good as it feels. 🎬 TIMESTAMPS: 0:00 Preview 01:24 Start With A Quick Tidy Up 01:54 Create Relaxing Layers Of Light 04:02 Bring Nature Indoors 06:26 Add Texture & Soft Textiles 07:31 Use Neutral Tones & Mirrors 08:31 Create Small Corners Of Comfort 09:59 Homemade pistachio tiramisu ☕️ PISTACHIO TIRAMISU Ingredients: • 125 g (1/2 cup) mascarpone • 50 g (1/3 cup) pistachio paste or ground pistachios (unsalted) • 100 g (1/2 cup) heavy cream • 15 g (1 1/2 tbsp) powdered sugar • 1 g (1/2 tsp) vanilla extract • 125 g (1 cup) ladyfingers • 100 ml (1/2 cup) strong espresso or coffee, cooled • 15 ml (1 tbsp) Amaretto or pistachio liqueur (optional) • 10 g (2 tbsp) pistachios, roughly chopped (for decoration) • A pinch of cocoa powder for dusting (optional) Instructions: 1. Whip the cream with powdered sugar and vanilla extract until stiff. 2. In a separate bowl, combine mascarpone and pistachio paste until smooth. 3. Gently fold the whipped cream into the mascarpone-pistachio mixture until light and creamy. 4. Combine the cooled espresso with Amaretto or pistachio liqueur (if using). 5. Quickly dip the ladyfingers in the coffee-liqueur mixture, being careful not to make them too soft. 6. Place a layer of soaked ladyfingers in the bottom of a baking dish. 7. Spread pistachio cream evenly over the ladyfingers. 8. Repeat the process until all ingredients are used. 9. Refrigerate the tiramisu for at least 2 hours to let it set. 10. Before serving, sprinkle with chopped pistachios and a dusting of cocoa powder. 🛋️ Don´t forget to subscribe for more early mornings, cozy farmhouse vlogs, heartfelt meals, and slow-living content that will help you create calm, peaceful days.
