In this video, I present a comprehensive review of the completely-new second-generation 2025 MG HS, driving both the petrol and PHEV plug-in hybrid versions. As MG celebrates its 100th anniversary, the new MG HS is set to continue its popularity in the UK, where it has already become the 8th best-selling car this year. With prices ranging from £24,995 to £33,995, this latest model offers an impressive range of features, including slimmer headlights, a new grille, and loads more tech and gadgets, plus it's bigger and roomier inside. The petrol version of the MG HS features a 1.5T engine with 169bhp and 275Nm of torque, providing a 0-62mph time of 9.4 seconds. On the other hand, the PHEV version combines a 1.5 petrol engine with a 154kW electric motor for a total of 370bhp and 569Nm, achieving a quicker 0-62mph time of 6.8 seconds. Most impressive is its outstanding 75-mile EV range, which puts into a 5% BIK company car tax bracket making it popular for fleet buyers. Both models boast increased interior space, enhanced boot capacity, and a host of modern amenities, such as two 12.3-inch displays, live navigation services, and smartphone apps and connectivity.
