Marine life encountered: Caribbean Reef Sharks (multiple, up close), lemon shark, nurse sharks (everywhere), Loggerhead turtles (2), Green turtles (3), Spotted Eagle Rays (2, up close), Mooray Eels (4, 1 baby), Barracuda (multiple, baby to large size), Stingrays (multiple species, up to incredible size for ), lobsters (a few, not in season), crabs (a few), groupers (everywhere on Half Moon Caye), jacks, large schools of fish, wide range of tropical fish, incredible coral diversity. Date of dives: March 14 - 21, 2025 Water temp: comfortable (Mrs. Jobson gets cold easily and was fine) Viz: Lighthouse Reef - excellent, Turneff - murky to good, The Wit - excellent, Hol Chan - good Boat ride: trip to Blue Hole tossed us around in a big way. Airborne. Be ready. Return: back in time for dinner each time, no later than 4:30 PM. Home base: Hol Chan Resort & Villas Recommendation: Half Moon Caye Wall is a 10. Don't miss it. Far exceeds the Blue Hole and it is on the same trip. Real Take: Turneff, while pretty, does not have a ton of marine life. If you like coral, it is nice.
