RRHMA Silvis Train Day And Car Show 2025

First big event of the year! Yesterday me and some friends made our way towards the Quad Cities to attend the Railroading Heritage Of Midwest America's first big event of the 2025 season, the Silvis Train Day and Car Show event! Now this video showcases both days of the event as a little change up. For the first part of the video, we view some scenes during the night shoot with Jeddo Coal 85, Union Pacific 6936, and Santa Fe 537. Including a surprise switch move with the 85, aka Mack at the end of the shoot. As well as hearing 6936 and 537 being started up for the shoot, which was really sweet! The second part of the video showcases the event from today, starting with a shop tour showcasing some of the engines inside the facility including Union Pacific 3985 and 5511, both of which are seen undergoing restoration, and a few model train layouts present before heading outside to get shots of Jeddo Coal 85 pulling the three car coach train around the facility, CN's Little Obie giving rides, vintage cars, the 537 and 6936 sitting on display, and more around the facility before we began our trek home. Also included towards the end are some bonus footage of some trains we managed to see at Rochelle and Morton Grove on our way home, with one having the Western Pacific Heritage Unit and the other being a CPKC Ballast train. All in all, I want to thank the people behind RRHMA for arranging this event, it was definitely one to remember and I'll be sure to come back next time for another event like this in the future!
