English to Follow تغنّي أمل في هذه الوصلة أغنية شعبية من تقاليد العرس وترويدة طالعين الجبل عالمينا يا مراكب ودّينا من أغاني العرس في التقليد الشعبي بفلسطين وكانت تغنّى حين يقصد أهل العريس بلدا بعيدا لطلب يد عروس ما يستدعي سفرهم. لكن ع ندما تغنّى اليوم، يصبح للبحر والبلاد البعيدة المذكورة في سطور الاغنية معاني التهجير والاغتراب والنكبة. الترويدة نمط غنائي شعبي اشتهرت به النساء في فلسطين، يشهر بايقاعه المتأنّي ويغنّى في مناسبات مختلفة. ابتكرت النساء باستخدام التراويد كوسيلة لمقاومة الاستعمار بتوظيفها للتواصل مع المناضلين وذلك عبر دمج أحرف إضافية تتقاطع وكلمات الأغنية الأساسية بهدف تضليل المستعمر عن دروب الثوّار. عندما يكون الحرف الإضافي هو اللام، تسمّى الترويدة بالمُلالاة (نسبة لحرف اللام) كما في ترويدة "يا طالعين الجبل". يعود تاريخ هذه الملالاة لثلاثينيات القرن الماضي أثناء الاستعمار الانكليزي لفلسطين، والمقصود بطتالعين الجبل هم الثوّار الذين سيقومون بإيقاد النار في الجبل كإشارة للأسرى بأنهم آتون لتحريرهم. ترمز كلمات الأغنية للأسرى بالغزال، فتخبرهم أن تحريرهم قريب والإشارة هي النار الموقدة في الجبل. من أمسية "ولاد الأرض" 10/09/2024 مسرح المدينة، بيروت غناء أمل كعوش، بزق جورج الشيخ، غيتار جو عواد، كونترباص مكرم أبو الحسن، ايقاعات مازن ملاعب تصوير ومونتاج أنس غيبة تنظيم مبادرة حسن الجوار وبدعم مؤسسة سعدالله ولبنى خليل وذهب ريع الحفل لصالح صندوق الدكتورغسان أبو ستة للأطفال Amal sings in this set a traditional song from wedding customs and the coded "Tarweedah" "Ya Tal‘een el-Jabal" (You Climbing the Mountain). "‘Aalimina ya marakeb waddina" ("Take us to the harbor, O ships, carry us") This is a wedding song from Palestinian folk tradition, typically sung when the groom's family travels to a distant town to propose — a journey that required travel. However, when sung today, the references to the sea and faraway lands take on new meanings — of displacement, exile, and the Nakba. Al Tarweedah (At-tarwīda) is a traditional vocal style popularized by women in Palestine. It is known for its slow, deliberate rhythm and is sung on various occasions. Women creatively used this form as a means of resisting colonialism by employing it to communicate with freedom fighters. This was done by inserting additional letters that intersected with the original lyrics of the song, in order to mislead the colonizers about the movements of the revolutionaries. When the added letter is “Lam ل”, the tarweedah is called a “moulalah”, as in the song "Ya Tal‘een el-Jabal." This Moulalah dates back to the 1930s, during British colonial rule in Palestine. The "ones who climb the mountain" are the revolutionaries who would light fires on mountaintops as signals to prisoners that their liberation was near. The gazelle in the lyrics symbolizes the prisoners, and the fire is the sign that freedom is on the way.
