The film stars James McAvoy as Arthur Claus, Hugh Laurie as Steve Claus, Bill Nighy as Santa Claus, Jim Broadbent as Grandsanta, Imelda Staunton as Mrs. Claus, and Ashley Jensen as Bryony. When one child is accidentally missed on Christmas Eve, Arthur sets out on a chaotic, last minute global mission to deliver the present before Christmas morning. This movie was a crazy fun ride filled with wacky, over the top humor and surprisingly heartfelt moments. Arthur is endlessly lovable and full of real Christmas spirit, making it easy to root for him as everyone else underestimates him. The generational clash between Santa, Steve, and the completely unhinged Grandsanta is hilarious, and the adventure with Grandsanta and Bryony traveling across the world had me laughing the whole time. Beneath the jokes, Arthur Christmas delivers a sweet message about kindness, responsibility, and what being Santa really means. This was pure holiday fun and I can already tell it is going on my yearly Christmas watch list..
