NAT | "Love in times of war" - Eco-Arts Residency “Nature is us” in Lecce (Italy)

We are happy to share the beautiful video made by Davit Chikadze about the International Eco-arts Residency "Nature is Us" residency, held in Italy, in the beautiful town of Lecce in September 2025. During those magical weeks, artists from Italy, Romania, Cyprus, Georgia, Turkey, Albania, Burkina Faso worked together to prepare the final version of the new international production "Love in times of war", directed by Fabio Tolledi. The performance was realized in collaboration with AVR Lab of the University of Salento and featured the artists Georgia Chrysostomou, Ioana Marina Alexandrina, Maria Irina Pandrea, Matteo Mele, Ermelinda Bircaj, Natalia Berezhiani, Nino Mitaishvili, Onur Uysal, Roberta Quarta, Sara Cossa, Simonetta Rotundo, Zsolt Fekete, Hamado Tiemtoré, Anna Cinzia Villani, Roberto Gagliardi and the extended reality experts of AVR Lab team, coordinated by Lucio Tommaso De Paolis, Carola Gatto, Laura Corchia, Marco Calò, Giorgia De Giuseppe, Federica Faggiano, Ileana Riera Panaro. Its realization is supported by "NAT - Nature, Arts, Technologies", a project co-funded by the European Union, Creative Europe program, and coordinated by the Italian Centre of International Theatre Institute in partnership with UNITER Uniunea Teatrală din România (Romania), HDACIS SCHOOL - Human Development and Culture International School (Georgia), Cyprus Centre of the ITI / Κυπριακό Κέντρο του ΔΙΘ and AVR Lab of the Department of Engineering for Innovation of University of Salento (Italy). In the video, Davit captured the essence of those intense days, where the artists' sensibilities found space and time to work on their artistic practices, writing, imaging, and collective, choral actions. The performance, inspired by the writings of Marguerite Duras, is an intercultural choral voice that sings about love in times of war, that are our own times. We take this opportunity to thank once again all the amazing artists who participated, the large audience, thanks to the Archaeological Museum of Cavallino and its Director Corrado Notario for his hospitality and support, the Consul General of Romania in Bari Ioana Gheorghiaș, the Consul of Romania in Bari Serban Gabriel Dumitrache and all the representatives, managers, professionals and operators who contributed to this important work in Italy.
