More about the Best Travel Luggage Are you trying to pick the best travel luggage for your next trip but feeling overwhelmed? In this video, we'll share with you our top tips for picking the best luggage for your travel needs. We'll also give you some tips for the best carry on luggage, backpacks and check-in luggage. When you shop for luggage, it's important to choose a type that best meets your needs. Below are some brief descriptions of the most common types of luggage, with their advantages and disadvantages: Different Types of Luggage Soft-Sided Luggage: This is a particularly lightweight option, and it can be rolled around or pulled along like roller bags. They're extremely durable, but the drawback is that they don't hold up well against rain or snow, and they're hard to pack. Hard-Sided Luggage: These come in several shapes and sizes, but they all have firm exteriors and usually wheels on the bottom. They're sturdy enough to be checked in on flights, but they can be difficult to maneuver when full. Backpacks: These are ideal for someone who wants to carry his or her own gear on hikes, treks around foreign countries, or other adventures where it's necessary to have hands free. They are also great for carrying light items while sightseeing. One drawback is that backpacks can't be checked in on flights. Duffel Bags: These are larger versions of a backpack—a duffel bag is basically a bag with straps, whereas a backpack has straps AND a compartment for holding books and other things inside. Type of Material Softsided bags - softsided bags like this, typically weigh less. They offer less protect for force, and err.. Wine soaking into your bag. But they offer more give. The good things about soft bags, is that they are lighter, have give, so they easier to squeeze into spaces, And have pockets on the outside, so you can grab things easily, without unzipping the whole bag. One downside is that it is Nylon is a lightweight, strong, and water-resistant material. Woven Nylon has been used in the production of soft luggage for decades because it is also hard to cut into, making it harder for thieves. But those small pockets are targets. Personally, I love hardsided bags. Size Size is another big factor, then depends on the length of your trip, where you are going, and your budget. The two main sizes we need to quickly talk about are check in and carry on. Alot of people travel with both a check in bag and carry on. But like I remind people in my amazing, wonderful, informative, (is that enough adjectives) packing for Europe video not to over pack! If you have the space you will fill it, even if you don’t need those items. And that is something to keep in mind with getting a suitcase as well. Check in bag - Check in bags, the bags that are stored on the plane. Like carry on the sizes vary by airline. But in general if you luggage is largers than 22 inches. Any size backpack can be checked in. If you backpack is larger than 45L you might be forced to check it in. Carry on - Carry on bag that you bring on the plane with you, are great for short trips. People who travel light. Everyone traveling with expensive items that need packed should travel with a carry on, so you don’t have to check them under the plane. A carry-on size varies a little by each airline. (Especially, some of those budget airlines) But the size for a carry on is 22" x 14" x 9" (Is that how you say that) With all that info you can find the best travel tote, or the best luggage sets and make it easier picking travel luggage. A few great brands we didn't get to are Away Luggage, the Monos Carry on. #travelluggage #bestcarryonbags #bestluggagefortravel #travel #suitcases #traveling #awayluggage #traveltote #gingeronthego
