Index) Daan Couzijn (artist and co-editor of the E.A.T. Index) In this video, curator Christian Herren introduces the E.A.T. Index, the forthcoming publication by Engadin Art Talks, published by JRP|Editions and designed by Salzmann Gertsch. Drawing on fifteen years of talks and contributions, the E.A.T. Index functions as an associative, alphabetically organised entry point into the E.A.T. archive, connecting voices from art, architecture, science, philosophy, music, and beyond. Rather than reproducing the archive in full, the publication offers a curated system of keywords, quotations, images, and cross-references that invite non-linear reading and encourage further exploration of the online archive. Conceived as both a book and an indexical tool, the E.A.T. Index reflects on knowledge, memory, and reading as active, connective practices. To illustrate the publication’s cross-pollinating logic, Herren was joined by E.A.T. member Daan Couzijn for a live reading of a selected excerpt, tracing associative pathways across disciplines, voices, and temporalities.
