This trip takes the InterCity 2151, pulled by the BR 101, from Erfurt HBF to Jena Göschwitz. Due to a diversion, we first travel on the Thuringian Railway and then on the Saale Railway between Großheringen and Jena, where we can admire the beautiful Saale Valley with its numerous castles and palaces. The journey ends in the triangle of tracks in Großheringen with the IC via the Thuringian Railway, but it continues on the Saale Railway.
