JP's Tag Nymph Variants: Best Fly Fishing Nymphs (EASY to tie!)

Free Online Fly Tying Class: https://doublebadgers.kartra.com/page... Discover 13 Euronymphing fly Patterns here: https://fishingdiscoveries.com/best-e... In this episode John Pearson ties one of his favourite grayling nymphs - and shows how with a few small changes in materials how you can also create some of the best trout nymphs around. As with all the flies in this series, it is really easy to tie - and it is a proven "better than average" fish-catcher. Depending on the "background noise" (depth, turbulence, colour, sunshine/cloud etc.) in your river when you fish, you can use these more obvious "hot-tag" shades to help your fly stand out. Alternatively, in low background noise "spooky"/bright/low water conditions - there's a whole range of more subtle shades in our other nymphs in this series (from easy bugs to little, drab olive mayfly nymphs and midges). These bead-head nymphs are just dubbing, rib and tag (with the tungsten bead size and colour to suit). The mobility in the collar hackle comes from picked out dubbing - and doesn't even require you to take the time or trouble of tying in and winding a separate feather hackle to create that effect. The fish love these flies, and with just a few size and colour variants, you can quickly create a great selection in your box that covers a lot of bases. Enjoy - and don't be fooled by how simple/easy these flies are; they are really effective. Paul
