Recorded with @Xperia1V @Sony @SonyXperia 🧍🏻♂️ This 36 Years old, male had a history of recurrent redness, watering, photophobia, and blurry vision, for which he was self-medicating with steroid drops💧on and off for quite a long time! Later, due to rapidly deteriorating vision, eye pain, and redness, he came to us at IIEI&H. 🔭 On clinical examination, he was diagnosed with an advanced case of Bilateral Steroid Induced Glaucoma, with 6/12 vision and 34 mmHg eye pressure in the right eye and 6/18 vision with 46 mmHg eye pressure in the left eye. His optic nerve was damaged by almost 80% to 90% in both eyes! 💊 With maximum antiglaucoma medications for 7 days, his target eye pressure was not achieved in both eyes. 🛑 Finally, we advised the patient to go for Augmented Trabeculectomy Surgery with Mitomycin-C in both eyes, explaining the possible outcomes and complications. 😷 So, I did the right eye surgery around 15 days ago and advised him to go for the left eye as soon as possible. 😇 So far, uneventful surgery of one eye with the best possible outcomes after surgery led the patient to go for another eye operation just after two weeks. 👁️ This time, I did the surgery with topical anesthesia (without any injection, as this may increase the chance of wiping out the patient's remaining vision), and it is pretty challenging to do! 🎯 Follow-ups on Days 1 and 7 showed well-controlled IOP, lastly around 10 mmHg in the right eye and 14 mmHg in the left eye, with unaided vision of 6/9 in the Right Eye and 6/12 in the Left eye!
