A weekend getaway to Dharavandhoo for manta snorkeling trip at Hanifaru Bay, Baa Atoll, Maldives, to witness one of the biggest manta movements on Earth. Hanifaru Bay is a UNESCO biosphere reserve for the protection of manta rays. Every year from the month of May to end of October, there is a great chance to witness this significant manta movement. For the protection, scuba diving is no longer allowed in the bay area, and snorkeling is strictly subject to rules and restrictions. Dharavandhoo is the nearest local island to go to the Hanifaru Bay, where there are several professional dive centers with licensed guides organizing the Hanifaru Bay snorkeling trips.
