TheFinalProject | Hulk's Overdose Montage

►Hulks words Hey all, this is something that I have been meaning to do for a fairly long time and it's finally complete. I’ve been working on this montage for a bit longer than it should have taken and I appreciate the patience of the people I promised that it would be out sooner and especially the people who edited it. It took 3 different editors to finally get a final draft out after trying different songs, different clips and different songs. I kept changing my mind on which clips should be used and kept altering my running style into which I thought was the most enjoyable. I tried my best to stay genuine to the clips and tried my best to avoid staging in order to get the best clips possible. I definitely know Cylo and Stig could have done a lot more in terms of the editing, but it was my choice entirely to keep it as simplistic as possible. It's kind of a way of reminiscing about the beginning of quarantine montages and showing a more gameplay orientated video. I focused more on running, as I am a firm believer of actually playing towards the objective of playing to survive. You may see a change of running styles between this montage, as I adapted to the zombies that were chasing me. I think with everyone they always tried to be the best they can be and this one way of showing that, as my 12 year old self would have wanted HAHA. At Least I can finally say that I gave it my all and I can finally move on. I haven’t taken this game very seriously ever since 2014 and this pandemic gave me a chance to finally finalize what I couldn’t finish when I had the chance. I unfortunately lost all my clips from back then and had to restart entirely with the new HP zombie buff and rooms filled with players who understand the fundamentals of freerunning. I had to alter my running style and adapt to how zombies were trying to infect which was quite difficult at first. Trying new running styles while also trying to make the clips enjoyable is something I struggled with. I tried my best to not team and I could only do so by making it seem like I try hard against everyone I play against. It was never my intention to make it seem like I have something against someone, I just rather have everyone playing the game properly. While the servers make it even more difficult sometimes to do so, I still tried to take advantage of my solid frame rates and ping. I found it harder to focus on the game itself this time and I may have gotten too attached to the social aspect of this game many times. Which may have strayed me away from people who I did not wish to detach from or just sometimes even ignore just so I could focus on what I wanted to finish. So I am sorry if I ignored you. I really want to enjoy this game as I did before without forcing myself to play. Unfortunately the game’s state isn’t in a good place with it slowly dying and honestly playing with the game people everyday is quite boring. As I continued to lose interest in this game my original goal of wanting to prove that I was the best wasn’t my motive anymore, and it was more attuned to have something that my friends I’ve made since I was 11 years old. In a way to have something to look back on during those 2012-2014 days of the countless hours of playing. Hulk wanted it simple and i think it turned out really good, however i also do wish me and cylo couldve done more with this song. I feel like it had alot more potential for editing, but im still very happy with this final result and i think it turned out great. Shoutout to everyone who helped with the cinematics (Genesis, MyLittleAK, Creon, Cylo, Robin, Hulk, tack1du, Alveole, Perseptions, Ubi, and anyone else i forgot) ►Cylo : "Adam edited most of this montage, I did some of the cinematic editing. Adam was supposed to edit this montage solo, but I REALLY loved this song and wanted to edit to it for a long time. When I found out Hulk was using it in his montage, I had to try editing it, even if it was just a bit. I would've tried doing a lot more effects and syncing if this was my own montage. Hulk didn't want to go that route so I respect that. It was fun editing with Adam again. The last time we did this was I think our dualtage or Robin's second montage.
