It also works in conjunction with the traffic lights present at the crossing, as it is the intersection of a main road and 2 side streets. This crossing will be removed alongside Wickham Rd/Worthing St, Highett by means of an elevated rail corridor (Skyrail), in conjunction with a new Highett Station. This is planned to be finished by 2029.
