Did You Know Adam Was a Vegetarian? So Why Wasn't Noah? This video, by Rabbi Yitzchak Botton, explores the deep, mystical origins of dietary laws and animal sacrifices. It challenges the notion that these practices are "primitive" by revealing the Kabbalistic framework of spiritual elevation and the hidden mechanics of the soul and its role in rectifying the world. Drawing from the wisdom of the Zohar and the Arizal, we dive into the Jewish mysticism behind why Adam HaRishon was originally a vegetarian and why the laws of Kosher shifted after the Flood of Noah. If you’ve ever wondered about the deeper meaning of the Beit HaMikdash (Holy Temple) or why we pray for the return of Korbanot in the Shemoneh Esrei, this lecture provides the answers. Much like the profound teachings of Rabbi Manis Friedman, we explore the reincarnation of souls (Gilgulim) and the secret connection between our dining table and the Mizbeach (Altar). Discover how Shabbat transforms physical pleasure into Oneg, elevating the sparks of holiness within our food. Whether you are a student of Chassidut or searching for the meaning of life, this deep dive into Torah and the World to Come will change how you view your daily life and your connection to Hashem. comment on this video by Rabbi Yitzchak Botton Shocking Truth: Kosher Food & Animal Sacrifices: Reincarnation Trapped Souls & Fixing a Broken World From Adam to Messiah: Shocking Truth Behind Sacrifices & Kosher Food, Secrets of Reincarnation Shocking Truth: Temple Sacrifices, Souls & Reincarnation | The Real Reason for Kosher Food The Real Reason for Kosher Food & Temple Sacrifices - Reincarnation Rectification & Lost Souls Follow us: https://www.hidabroot.com / @hidabrootcom / hidabroot_global https://whatsapp.com/channel/0029VbCY... Video Outline: The Truth About Meat, Sacrifices, and the Soul I. The Mystery of the Original Diet Adam’s Vegetarianism: In the Garden of Eden, eating animals was prohibited. Man’s original state was purely plant-based. The Post-Flood Shift: After Noah, God permitted meat (steak, chicken, etc.). The Big Question: Did God change His mind? To understand the shift, we must look at the spiritual dimensions that parallel our physical world. II. The Four Levels of Existence To understand why we eat what we eat, we must categorize all of creation: Inanimate (Domem): Rocks and dirt. Though "lifeless," they contain divine sparks and vitality from the Creator. Vegetative (Tzomeach): Plants and trees. They possess a secondary level of life—growth. Animal (Chai): Possess a "vital soul," instincts, and movement, but lack higher philosophical intellect. Human (Medaber - The Speaker): The pinnacle of creation, gifted with intellect to perceive God and serve a higher purpose. III. Eating as a Divine Service The Purpose of Eating: It isn't just for physical survival or pleasure; it is a "Tikun" (rectification). Shabbat & Holidays: On these days, physical indulgence (fine wines, fatty meats) is transformed into a spiritual act that elevates the soul. Oneg vs. Nega: * Oneg (Pleasure): Using the physical for holiness on Shabbat. Nega (Affliction): Using the same physical indulgence on weekdays without the proper intent, which can "afflict" the soul. IV. The "Physics" of Korbanot (Sacrifices) Why Animal Sacrifices? Adam brought the first sacrifice as a path to repentance and "closeness" (Karov) to Hashem. The Altar & The Table: The Mizbeach (altar) elevated animal life to the divine realm. Today, a person's dining table acts as that altar when blessings are made over food. The Jewish Role: The Nation of Israel acts as the "connector" between the divine and the physical, continuing the work Adam started. V. The Logic of Kosher vs. Non-Kosher Kosher (Prepared/Ready): These animals come from a "neutral" spiritual realm. They are ready to be elevated through proper slaughter and blessings. Assur (Forbidden/Bound): The word Assur literally means "bound." These animals (pig, shellfish, etc.) are tied to a realm of impurity and cannot be spiritually elevated. Eating them can damage the spiritual sensitivity of a Jewish soul. VI. Reincarnation (Gilgulim) and Redemption Souls in Animals: According to the Arizal and the Zohar, souls may return in the form of animals or fish to complete a specific rectification. The Path to Redemption: Whether through suffering, Gihinnom, or being "elevated" through a righteous person’s meal, the ultimate goal of reincarnation is always the soul’s eventual return to its true place in the World to Come. #Torah #Kabbalah #Spirituality #soul #RabbiManisFriedman #Jerusalem #Judaism #Kosher #Reincarnation #Faith #MeaningOfLife #BeitHamikdash #JewishMysticism #Gilgulim #Shabbat #Vegetarianism #RabbiAlonAnava #Arizal #Zohar #JewishLife
