Salutations! Alright I've made an attempt at an animatic before, but it was maaaybe a little over a minute long and certainly didn't involve this much artwork. It also made out to be more of a slideshow so, there's that. While this one definitely has more artwork in it, I still think I've a long way to go before I figure out how to do animatics proper. I ran into a lot of hiccups while I was doing this too! For one, I had to do all the dark figures in the vid in a span of 24 hours, as my tablet cord was...cat damaged and fraying so, sometimes the tablet would work and sometimes it wouldn't. As such, I hit a period where it actually worked for all day and night and I essentially ran with it by quickly scribbling out the dark figures (until it stopped working) first before adding in the rest of the scenes later, since they were the easiest. (Thanks to a new USB cord on my tablet I was able to get the rest of the scenes done lol) Alas I still skipped out on detailed backgrounds and hope that, in my next animatics, I add in more environment. Haha goals for next time. :) I'm also using a new version of Camtasia and figuring out its little quirks has been a learning experience (frustrating in that it erased a huge chunk of my progress, had audio skips no matter how I rendered the vid, and I had to do a bunch of editing over again). Ultimately I just feel that I'm still learning and I'll get to wherever I'm going in my own time. So there's all that lol. As for the song, it belongs to the musical Be More Chill whose website you can check out here: https://www.bemorechillmusical.com/ I'll be honest, I haven't been able to see this play, but I'd like to someday. It seems like it would be a fun watch (and I'm a sucker for plays/musicals as my watchers from my different platforms already know lol). If you want to check out my usual stuff you can go here: https://syn-cypher.deviantart.com/ Cheers everybody and thanks! :D
