Businesses are fleeing New York City following the resounding election of Zohran Mamdani as the city's mayor. Barstool Sports founder Dave Portnoy is debating whether to close his company's New York City office because of Mamdani's mayoral election. Portnoy called the democratic socialist a "Communist" who hates America. "I hate the guy ... I can't stand the thought of him running New York City. I can't stand it," Portnoy said. "Thirty-something-year-old Communist running New York City who's never had a job in his life, hates America — doesn't seem like the best." This comes as New York Mayor-elect Zohran Mamdani wrapped up his three-day visit to Puerto Rico.
