Assassin's Creed Origins is set in Egypt during the Ptolemaic period (49-43 BC) and explores the origins of the Hidden Ones (Predecessors of the Assassin Brotherhood), and the conflict they have with The Order of the Ancients (Predecessors to the Templar Order). Beginning the story, Bayek, a Medjay, is abducted along with his son Khemu by a group of masked men and taken to a vault under the Temple of Amun. Bayek is instructed to open the vault with a dormant Piece of Eden, but with the help of Khemu, they make their escape. In the upcoming conflict, Bayek accidently kills Khemu and recedes into self-exile. Fast forward a year, and Bayek has taken out two of the masked men. After meeting with his wife Aya, Bayek discovers there is one target left, only to discover in the targets last words that there are more. Bayek begins his journey uncover the identities of the masked organization and restore peace to the Siwa Oasis while getting justice for his son’s death.
